Krill Oil — an extraordinary source of Omega 3 oils
Our oceans are an important source of nutrients and marine products are an important part of the world’s diet. An important source of Omega 3 oils can be found in Krill, a species of crustaceans (from 1 to 5cm in length), living prevalently in the cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean or the North Pacific. Krill has been covered in media and became a very demanded product since it was featured in media recently.
Krill are somewhere at the bottom of the marine food chain, it is feeding on microscopic oceanic plant life (phytoplankton) and represents a food source for fish, whales, sharks, penguins, seals and some sea birds.
We are proud to announce that our manufacturers are using only krill exclusively from sustainable fisheries in the Antarctic Ocean, through our partners Aker Biomarine, who work closely with the World Wildlife Foundation Norway to ensure sustainable krill harvesting.
The benefits of the Krill Oil
Krill Oil is a powerful source of natural and pure Omega 3 oils, also being rich in another antioxidant — astaxanthin. Krill oil is also rich in phospholipids, an important component of the human cell membranes, so it will help regenerate cells and recover from various affections which imply cell destructions and require immune response.
Both fish oils and krill oils are benefic for our organism, due to the antioxidants which neutralize the free-radicals. Krill oil is therefore even more special, as it is set apart due o the fact that it is also rich in astaxanthin, another antioxidant which makes krill oil to be more appreciated. Also, krill oil doesn’t cause fishy burps or an after-taste, a common unpleasant side effect of fish oil.
Krill oil can be successfully combined with our other antioxidants, such as Acai Berry, MAXvits Super Foods or GreeNourish Complete. Together with these supplements you’ll boost your immune system and help your body recover and regain its vitality.
